The Dreamland Trust will be opening an interactive and immersive Visitor & Learning Arcade this spring to engage as broad an audience as possible with Dreamland’s rich heritage, its listed assets and cultural themes.
The Dreamland Trust is now seeking to appoint an Archive & Arcade Manager to join the Visitor & Learning Arcade team to build the Dreamland Archive and ensure the smooth running and operation of the Arcade three days per week.
The successful candidate will have excellent Front of House skills, a genuine passion for British seaside cultural heritage and experience/knowledge of digital archiving.
Acting as the public point of contact you will positively promote Dreamland and its heritage and be responsible for building the Dreamland Archive, in partnership with the South East Archive of Seaside Photography at Canterbury Christ Church University, which will eventually become an accessible online resource.
You will be responsible for managing the Arcade, opening and closing the Arcade, co-ordinating and supervising volunteers and casual staff, ensuring exhibitions and activities run smoothly, information gathering, managing fund raising stock, handling cash, building a visitor database for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

Working condition and environment
Based in the Visitor & Learning Arcade in Dreamland’s Grade II*-listed cinema building. Hours are 0900 through to 1800 Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Mondays with occasional extra hours to for special activities and pop-up events.
